The EnviroRail® Double Leaf Gates offer a completely modular and comparatively lightweight gate solution, ensuring straightforward installation for diverse hardware needs. Featuring universal handing, they provide on-site flexibility, eliminating the need for fixed left or right-hand specifications. The modular functionality enables adjustments in case the gates shift, providing a degree of flexibility that fixed hardware cannot match.
Manufactured using a unique, more environmentally conscious technique than standard railings, it sets itself apart from other products and is the choice for customers with a preference for lowered eco-impact during production. This innovative technique sees the use of bespoke, laser-cut components that are pressed together to form incredibly strong bonds. This joining method reduces the amount of energy-intensive welding that is needed. The pressed bonds are very robust and as strong as their welded counterparts.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
Each EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is crafted from pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and then coated with polyester powder which ensures the product has durability, enabling it to easily withstand the rigours of exposure to harsh outdoor elements. This double layer guarantees many years of reliable functionality while preserving their aesthetic appeal.
The double leaf gate kit comes with a two hinge posts, two Play Sec Railing leaves and six adjustable gate eyes. The three hinges per leaf ensures that the gate is compliant with BS 12604 meaning it will remain safe even in the unlikely event of one hinge failing. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, giving a fixed-axis hinge which eliminates vertical movement.
Each gate comes with pre-drilled holes making it a very straightforward task to attach the gate eyes and a drop bolt. Plastic plugs are included to cover unused holes on the gate attack face. These prevent water getting into and collecting in the structure and also create a lovely, finished look to the gate. Compatible with our security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, ensuring ease of installation.
Safety Compliance
The rails are set at 100mm centres preventing entrapment and the top bows are 90mm, again to stop wrist or neck trapping. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate is fully compliant with BS EN 1176 regulations.
The gate gives 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed. The gate opens 90° in and out.
Available in a range of heights and widths, these gates come in a dig-in or bolt-down version making them suitable for many environments. You will need to add Post Mix to your order for the dig in variant and four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post for the bolt down version.
