First Fence is pleased to introduce customers to the EnviroRail® Bow Top Gate range, designed to fully complement the EnviroRail® Bow Top Railing portfolio. EnviroRail® from First Fence features both gate and railing panel kits. The gates are available as a single or double leaf, with a choice of width and height, and in a range of polyester powder coated colours.
Bow Top railings and gates are a very popular choice for fencing and gating customers, and are known for their distinctive curved top line. They add elegance to wherever they are sited and enhance the visual appeal of gardens, parks, schools and residential areas and harmonise well with various architectural styles.
They are designed with safety in mind, as the bowed tops are smooth, with no sharp edges, which reduces the risk of injury. They serve as a deterrent for unauthorised access while allowing visibility of the enclosed area.
Features and Benefits
An EnviroRail® Bow Top gate might look like a standard bow top product, however its manufacturing process uses a low-weld method meaning it is a more eco-conscious system and thus stands out from other similar products available. A series of laser-cut, custom-made pre-galvanised components form very strong bonds when they are pressed together during the assembly process, which means that high energy and resource-intensive welding is unnecessary.
Fabricated from quality pre-galvanised steel, conforming to BS 10346, then further polyester powder coated in a range of standard or non-standard RAL colours, this product is up to the task of being installed out of doors permanently, with all the weather changes that come with it.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier. Each EnviroRail gate is fitted with a UniSlide kit, providing a secure and durable sliding system for seamless operation. The Single Leaf Kit features a retainer plate and guide plate for proper alignment, a sturdy slider with an handle set and fixings.
EnviroRail® Gates present a versatile and easy-to-install system, characterised by modularity and lightweight design. Their universal handedness offers unparalleled on-site flexibility, eliminating the constraints of a fixed left or right-hand leaf. The modular functionality gives adjustability in case the gates move, which fixed hardware doesn't give.
Each EnviroRail® gate arrives pre-drilled, streamlining the installation process for hinges and the drop bolt. The package includes convenient plastic hole plugs for any unused holes. Customers can opt for additional locking drop bolts.
The comprehensive kit comprises an EnviroRail® gate leaf, hinge and catch post, and three adjustable gate eyes. Safety takes precedence, adhering to BS 12604 safety guidelines. In the event of hinge failure, multiple hinges work collectively to prevent the gate leaf from falling, prioritising safety and preventing potential injury or damage. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post for added security, these are fixed axis hinges with no up or down movement.
With options in various widths and heights, this gate kit caters to diverse installation needs, offering both dig-in and bolt-down choices. The dig-in option suits softer ground, necessitating Post Mix for post stability, while the bolt-down alternative is ideal for harder ground and secured using four M16 x 125mm anchor bolts.
This gate kit is compatible with our security locks and when installed correctly will give up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post. The gates have 50mm ground clearance.
