First Fence is pleased to introduce our latest product offering, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate series, which works perfectly with our EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing collection. Both have been designed to prioritise the safety of children while also elevating the look of the area.
In the EnviroRail® series, you'll find a variety of gate and railing panel kits. Our gates come in single and double leaf designs, and in a range of polyester powder-coated colours, allowing easy integration with current systems. They are adjustable for both bolt-down and dig-in installations, providing flexibility on various ground surfaces and terrains. The EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate differentiates itself through a novel, environmentally-conscious production process that incorporates custom laser-cut pre-galvanised elements. This ensures not only robust assembly when pressed together, the bonds are as sturdy as their welded counterparts, but also lessens the need for welding which is energy-intensive. Each EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is crafted from pre-galvanised steel, meeting BS 10346 standards, and coated with polyester powder, which ensures robustness and resilience against harsh outdoor elements. This dual-layer protection not only ensures reliable functionality but also preserves aesthetic appeal for an extended lifespan. A large range of RAL colours are available and will give a bright, fun and highly finished look to your gate.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
The EnviroRail® gate range offers a modular and lightweight gate system enabling quick installation, accommodating a selection of gate hardware items. Universally handed, these gates offer on-site flexibility without specific right or left-hand specifications, simplifying the decision-making process during installation. This modular functionality allows for easy adjustments, providing adaptability beyond the capabilities of fixed hardware.
The single leaf gate kit includes a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. Compliance with BS 12604 standards is ensured by three hinges, guaranteeing safety even in the unlikely event of one hinge failing. The gate hooks, fully welded to the gate post, establish a fixed-axis hinge, eliminating any potential vertical movement.
Pre-drilled holes simplify the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, with included plastic plugs to cover unused holes on the gate attack face. Compatible with security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, ensuring a straightforward installation process. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.
Safety Compliance
Rails are set at 100mm centres to prevent entrapment, and top bows are 90mm to prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.
The gate offers 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening 90° in and out as a single leaf gate.
Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix needs to be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
