Bow Top railings and gates have a very traditional, elegant style with an easily recognisable curvature at the top of the rail line. The design has its roots dating back to the 19th century where they were used to enclose gardens, parks and residential areas, providing a barrier without appearing overly imposing. They were initially crafted using wrought iron however other materials such as steel or aluminium are now commonly used for durability and ease of maintenance.

Features and Benefits

The 0.9m high x 2.0m wide EnviroRail® Bow Top Double Leaf Gate Kit offers great flexibility in terms of access control, giving you the choice of one or both leaves in the open or closed position.

This gate kit may look like a standard bow top product, however it stands out from the crowd due to its environmentally aware manufacturing process. This novel technique is low-weld and utilises a series of custom-made and laser-cut pre-galvanised elements that create sturdy connections when pressed together, which drastically reduces the reliance on welding which is energy and resource intensive. If you are concerned about minimising environmental impact during the making of your gates, then this might be the choice for you.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

The EnviroRail® Double Gates offer a fully modular and relatively lightweight solution, enabling quick fitting for various hardware needs. Universally handed, they provide on-site flexibility meaning there are no fixed left or right-hand specifications. The modular functionality gives adjustability in case the gates move, which fixed hardware doesn't give. The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Each gate arrives pre-drilled, streamlining the attachment of six adjustable hinges and a drop bolt. Plastic hole plugs are provided to cover any unused holes on the attack face. Additionally a locking drop bolt is available.

The kit comprises two EnviroRail® gate leaves, two gate posts and six adjustable gate eyes (three for each leaf), meeting BS 12604 safety guidelines to ensure stability even if one hinge fails. Furthermore, the gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post.

Available in various heights and widths, our gate kits are offered in dig-in and bolt-down versions, suitable for installation in diverse locations. The dig-in variant suits softer terrain such as grass and soil and requires Post Mix for secure installation, while the bolt-down option is ideal for harder ground surfaces such as concrete, secured using eight M16 x 125mm anchor bolts which can be added to your order.

This gate kit is compatible with our security locks and when installed correctly will give up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post. The gates have 50mm ground clearance.
