Size 7 Tube Double Inline Swivel (A46) Key Clamp Fitting
A Double Inline Swivel, also known as an A46 Fitting, has been specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the middle or lower rails within a guardrail structure. Its function here is to transform two horizontal tubes to position them at an angle, this is usually where other angle fittings are unsuitable. They often feature within handrails on steps.
Comprising of a Double Male Inline Swivel (A38) and two Female Swivel (A42) fittings, it is important to note that you will require three Size 7 Tubes that have an outside diameter of 42.4mm.
We strongly recommend that guardrail and handrail systems do not only consist of swivel fittings for the entire construction. This could lead to weakness within the structure and pose a risk of injury to its users.
Installation of this Key Clamp fitting is quick and easy, with no need for expensive tools or special skills. A Hex Key is all that is required to tighten the Grub Screws and ensure that the system is secured in place. Hex Keys are available to purchase separately.
