A key highlight of this deadbolt is its slim and compact 70mm lock case, enabling effortless installation on most gate frames. Its streamlined design preserves a strong and reliable locking mechanism while offering a discreet and professional look.

The deadlocking mechanism provides enhanced security, requiring a key for operation from both sides. The 15mm deadbolt can be adjusted on-site for a perfect fit. Additionally, the lock is universally handed, allowing installation on both left-hand and right-hand hung gates for maximum versatility.

The gate stays unlocked until the key is turned, reducing the risk of accidental lockouts while allowing for convenient access control when required. This simple yet effective mechanism makes it a reliable choice for gates needing strong security.

For added durability and reinforcement, the deadlock includes a bolt support plate, enhancing stability and ensuring the lock remains securely in place even with extended use.

What's Included in the Kit

This lock kit comes in black or green, and for a single or double-leaf gate.  Please note that all black lock and fixing kits have black locks, and all green kits have green locks. All other colour kits have black locks with plates colour-matched to the chosen gate.

This lock kit comes with the BD4060 lock, a secure keep, and Gatemaster locking plate hardware kit for double leaf gates.

The single-leaf hardware kit includes:

• x2 Stainless Countersunk Screws
• x1 Gatemaster Lock Plate
• x2 M8 x 100mm Cuphead Galvanised Bolts
• x2 M8 x 130mm Cuphead Galvanised Bolts

The double-leaf hardware kit includes:

• x2 Stainless Countersunk Screws
• x1 Gatemaster Lock Plate
• x1 Blank Plate
• x2 M8 x 65mm Square Cup Head Bolts
• x2 M8 x 75mm Square Cup Head Bolts
• x2 M8 Shear Nuts

Installation

This lock is designed for quick and hassle-free installation. Simply follow these steps:

1. Drill two 9mm holes in the gate frame for the fixing bolts.
2. Drill a clearance hole for the deadbolt.
3. Hold the lock against the back of the box section gate frame and screw the deadbolt through the bottom drilled hole.
4. Use the supplied hex key to lock the deadbolt in place.
5. Secure the lock with the stainless steel bolt support plate and countersunk screws.
6. Ensure the deadbolt moves freely to guarantee smooth operation.
   
   The lock requires minimal maintenance to keep it in optimal working condition. A few simple steps will help prolong its lifespan:
7. Every 6 months, apply light oil to the lock mechanism.
8. Annually, dismantle the lock and spray the internal components with light oil to maintain smooth operation and prevent wear.
