Product Description

Timber End Strainer Post Kit to Suit 180cm One Inch Netting Creosoted

Strong fencing starts with dependable foundations. Our Cundy peeled timber end strainer kits are designed to reinforce the ends of fencing runs, gates, or corners—where wire tension is greatest. Built to handle demanding agricultural use, they provide long-lasting support with a natural, rustic finish.

Benefits of Timber Posts & Stock Fencing

  • Durable & Resilient: Timber posts deliver solid support, while high-tensile wire withstands heavy strain.
  • Affordable & Effective: A cost-efficient choice compared to metal fencing, without sacrificing strength.
  • Quick to Install: Needs minimal tools and allows for straightforward adjustments.
  • Versatile Applications: Perfect for livestock control, crop protection, or marking boundaries.
  • Sustainably Sourced: Manufactured from renewable timber, with lower environmental impact than steel.

Kit Contents

This end strainer kit includes:

  • 1 x 2.4m x 150/175mm end strainer post
  • 1 x 2.4m x 75/100mm strut

Each post is Cundy peeled, a process that removes bark but retains the timber’s natural taper. This results in a rustic look and varying diameters along the length (e.g. 150/175mm). Posts are tanalised to UC4 standards or creosoted, providing robust protection against decay, fungi, and insects.

The angled strut braces the strainer post against the ground, preventing leaning or movement. Posts are typically driven into the ground and backfilled, with the strut set in place using quick-setting concrete such as post mix for maximum stability.

Applications

This kit is suitable for 1.8m high one-inch wire netting and is widely used for:

  • Agricultural fencing and livestock containment
  • Farm and estate boundaries
  • Rural footpaths and access routes
  • Gardens, landscaping, or tree support projects

Strong, easy to work with, and built for outdoor use, timber is a trusted solution for rural and remote fencing projects.

At First Fence, we stock a wide range of fencing supplies, including stock netting rolls, barbed wire, and timber railing systems. We also offer recycled plastic fencing, giving you the look of wood with superior strength, sustainability, and lifespan.
