Product Description

Timber Corner Strainer Post Kit to Suit 60cm to 120cm One Inch Netting Creosoted

A well-built fence relies on strong foundations. Our Cundy peeled timber corner strainer kits are designed to provide reliable reinforcement at the points where your fence changes direction or carries higher tension. Built to last and naturally rustic in appearance, they’re a dependable choice for farms, estates, and rural projects.

Benefits of Timber Posts & Stock Fencing

  • Strong & Long-Lasting: Timber posts form a stable base, while high-tensile netting resists strain.
  • Cost-Effective: More affordable than metal alternatives, yet engineered for durability.
  • Easy to Install & Adjust: Requires only basic tools and allows for straightforward modifications.
  • Multi-Purpose: Suitable for livestock control, crop protection, and defining property lines.
  • Sustainable Choice: Manufactured from responsibly sourced timber with a lower carbon footprint than steel.

What’s in the Kit?

This corner strainer kit includes:

  • 1 x 2.1m x 125/150mm corner strainer post
  • 2 x 2.4m x 75/100mm struts

The posts are Cundy peeled, meaning the bark is removed while keeping the natural taper, creating a rustic look and varied diameter (e.g. 125/150mm). Treated with creosote, the timber is protected from decay, fungi, and insect damage, ensuring long service life.

The angled struts brace the corner post, preventing it from leaning or shifting under pressure. Strainer posts are usually driven into the ground and backfilled, with struts often concreted into place using a product such as post mix (not supplied).

Applications

This kit is designed for stock fencing between 60cm and 120cm high with one-inch mesh, making it suitable for:

  • Agricultural fencing and livestock enclosures
  • Estate and farm boundaries
  • Rural footpaths and trails
  • Gardens, landscaping, or tree support

Strong, reliable, and easy to handle, timber is a trusted fencing material for outdoor and remote locations alike.

At First Fence, we also stock a wide selection of agricultural fencing, including wire mesh options for badger, rabbit, pheasant, and equestrian use.
