The Apollo® 1.8m x 4.5m Single Leaf Gate is built for high-traffic environments where reliable, secure access for larger vehicles or multiple traffic lanes is essential. Whether installed at a school, industrial estate, park, or logistics hub, this robust steel gate offers an effective perimeter solution without compromising on visibility or long-term durability.
Robust Mesh Design for Security and Visibility
At its core is a heavy-duty 868 twin mesh panel, constructed from twin 8mm horizontal wires with a 6mm vertical wire in between them. This design resists tampering and cutting while offering excellent visibility, making it ideal for integration with CCTV systems. The mesh apertures are intentionally narrow to deter climbing attempts, ensuring added safety and security.
Built to Withstand the Elements
Made from pre-galvanised steel and coated with a durable Polyester Powder Coating, the Apollo® gate is protected against rust, corrosion, and wear from outdoor exposure. Available in a range of colours, the finish can either stand out to highlight access points or blend into your existing fence line for a seamless perimeter.
The mitred corners are professionally finished to eliminate sharp edges, enhancing safety and giving the gate a clean, refined appearance suited to both public and industrial spaces.
Locking Drop Bolt Included
To enhance functionality, each gate includes a locking drop bolt. This feature allows the gate to be securely latched shut or safely held open during busy periods. It also accepts a padlock for additional security—ideal for locking down the site after hours or when not in use.
Modular & Easy to Install
Installation is made simple thanks to the gate’s modular design. The gate leaf is universally handed, so the direction of swing can be chosen on-site, avoiding any pre-order limitations. Pre-drilled components and included plastic caps ensure a tidy, weather-protected finish while speeding up installation.
This gate integrates effortlessly with common fencing types, including 868, 656, and 358 mesh, making it suitable for a variety of site layouts.
Suitable for a Range of Ground Types
The Apollo® gate can be installed on both hard and soft ground surfaces. For concrete or paved areas, bolt-down posts are available and require four ground anchor bolts per post. For softer terrain like grass or soil, dig-in posts can be used and should be set with post mix (specific quantities will vary – please see recommended quantities when ordering).
Enhanced Safety with Triple Hinges
A triple-hinge configuration provides extra stability for the large gate leaf, evenly distributing its weight and ensuring smooth operation. In the unlikely event of hinge failure, the additional hinges act as a safeguard, supporting the gate and helping to prevent accidents.
