The Apollo 2.4m High x 8.0m Wide 868 Twin Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit is a heavy-duty solution for managing wide access points while maintaining a high level of security. Designed to complement mesh fencing systems, this gate combines strength, functionality, and professional design, making it ideal for commercial, industrial, and public-facing environments where security and visibility are equally important.

Constructed using 868 twin mesh – which features 6mm vertical wires welded between two 8mm horizontal wires – the gate offers a robust and tamper-resistant barrier. The close spacing of the wires makes it difficult to climb or cut through, while still allowing clear visibility through the mesh. This balance of openness and strength makes the Apollo twin mesh system a smart choice for locations such as industrial estates, warehouses, schools, sports facilities, and utility infrastructure sites.

With a height of 2.4 metres and a generous width of 8.0 metres, the gate is suitable for vehicle access, including vans, lorries, and machinery. Its double leaf configuration allows both leaves to open wide for large-scale access or be operated individually depending on site requirements. The gate is available with either bolt down or dig in posts to suit different ground conditions, ensuring secure and stable installation on concrete surfaces or in soil.

To support various security needs, this gate is supplied with adjustable gate eyes, drop bolts, and a sliding latch system. The latch can be padlocked for basic security or upgraded with digital access locks for more advanced control. Mitred corners on the gate frame enhance strength and add a clean, professional finish to the installation. Additionally, the Apollo 868 mesh gate kit is available in a range of RAL colours with a durable polyester powder coating, offering added protection against corrosion and a polished look that blends with your site's fencing line or corporate identity.

In order to prevent the gate leaf from falling in the unlikely and unfortunate event of a single hinge failure, the Apollo 2.4m x 8.0m double leaf gate kits feature a triple hinge design. This meets the standards set out in BS EN 12604 and the recommendations set out by the DHF to prevent injuries caused by hinge failures. 

This kit includes all essential components to assemble and install the gate, except for ground anchor bolts or post mix, which can be purchased separately. It is fully compatible with our range of mesh fencing panels, allowing you to maintain a cohesive and secure perimeter. When connecting the gate to an existing mesh fence, M8 x 40mm bolts and mesh clips may be required for secure attachment.
