The Apollo 1.8m High x 5.0m Wide 868 Twin Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit provides a reliable, robust, and secure entry point for areas requiring controlled access. Engineered with twin wire mesh for strength and resilience, this gate is ideal for use in a wide range of environments, including schools, playgrounds, sports facilities, industrial sites, and public spaces, where safety, security, and visual appeal are key considerations.
Constructed from 6mm vertical wires crossed with 8mm horizontal wires, the 868 twin mesh format ensures enhanced rigidity and resistance to vandalism, cutting, and deformation. The open mesh layout provides clear sightlines for monitoring and surveillance, making it a preferred choice for locations that require both security and visibility.
The double leaf design offers a total clear width of 5.0 metres, with each gate leaf measuring 2.5 metres wide. This makes it suitable for accommodating pedestrian flow and light vehicles such as maintenance vans, small utility vehicles, and delivery carts. The gate is a modular unit, meaning it’s compatible with standard sliders and can be integrated into existing or newly installed fencing systems with ease.
Each gate leaf is universal, allowing for left- or right-hand hanging to suit your layout during installation. The gate frame is reinforced with mitred corners, which provide both additional strength and a clean, professional aesthetic. The included sliding latch system offers everyday functionality and can be secured using a standard padlock or upgraded with digital security locks or quick-exit locks for high-traffic or emergency-use environments.
The Apollo gate is fabricated from pre-galvanised steel to BS EN 10346 standards, ensuring it is protected from corrosion, even in harsh weather conditions. For maximum adaptability, this gate kit is available with either bolt-down or dig-in posts, depending on the surface you are working with. Bolt down posts are ideal for concrete and tarmac, while dig in posts are best suited for softer ground like soil or grass. Please note, post mix and ground anchor bolts are not included and must be purchased separately based on your installation type.
