Apollo® 3.0m High x 2.5m Wide 358 Prison Mesh Single Leaf Gate Kit
Providing a safe and secure access point for pedestrians and small vehicles, the Apollo® 3.0m x 2.5m Single Leaf 358 Steel Mesh Security Gates are ideal for use in securing public and private spaces, including schools, parks and industrial sites.
Featuring an easy-to-install, modular design and high-quality steel construction, these 3.0m high gates provide a great deterrent for thieves or vandals, whilst also providing a good level of visibility for additional security systems such as CCTV.
Key Features
Each of the Apollo 3.0m x 2.5m 358 Steel Security Gates has been made from high-grade steel to ensure a superior level of strength and rigidity. Each gate frame features smooth mitred corners, which not only help to increase the strength of the gate but also provide a smooth finish with no sharp edges.
To further enhance the longevity of your gate, and to provide an aesthetically pleasing access point, they are finished with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating, available in a variety of colours to suit your fencing perimeter. These coatings provide the steel with an additional layer of protection against weathering and corrosion, helping to ensure a longer operational life.
Modular Design
The Apollo® 358 Prison Mesh Gates have been designed to ensure a smooth and hassle-free installation. Featuring universally handed gate leafs, allowing the hanging side to be selected on site.
As standard, each gate is supplied with a lockable sliding latch system; however, if a more secure locking system is required, the modular design of the Apollo gates allows the lock to be replaced or upgraded with an Apollo lock system quickly and easily, without having to remove the gate leaf.
High Security 358 Mesh Infill
Also known as prison mesh, 358 mesh consists of many horizontal and vertical steel wires, arranged to form a mesh infill with narrow gaps. This type of mesh infill acts as a deterrent to unwanted intruders attempting to climb the gate, as there are no significant hand or foot holds, making climbing incredibly difficult.
As well as being strong against physical attacks, the 358 mesh, with its small gaps, prevents objects from being passed through from inside or outside of the security perimeter. Although the gaps in this mesh are small, the Apollo 358 Gates still provide a good level of visibility for additional security systems like CCTV.
Increase Site Safety with a Gate Restrainer
Both the gate leaf and gate posts are supplied with pre-drilled holes, allowing a gate restrainer to be installed. Made from high-strength steel, these restrainers have been designed to prevent the gate leaf from falling more than 300mm from its vertical axis in the unlikely and unfortunate event of a hinge failure.
Installing a gate restrainer tether helps these gates to meet the BS 12604 safety standards.
Available with either Dig In or Bolt Down Posts
To allow these steel security gates to be installed in a range of locations, they are available with either dig-in or bolt-down posts.
Dig-in posts: These are suitable for locations where the ground is soft enough to dig holes and secure the posts in place with the use of post mix. (Please see the recommended quantities when ordering)
Bolt-down posts: This type of post features a base plate, allowing it to be bolted into hard ground surfaces like concrete. Each bolt-down post requires 4 x M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolts to install these gates securely.
Locking Drop Bolt Included
Each of the 3.0m x 2.5m Apollo® 358 Mesh Security Gates is supplied with a locking drop bolt. These drop bolts can be used to hold the gate open for extended periods of time without the gate leaf being closed by the wind. It can also be used to help further secure the gate when it is not in use.
