Apollo® 3.0m High x 2.0m Wide 358 Prison Mesh Single Leaf Gate Kit
The Apollo® 3.0m High x 2.0m Wide Single Leaf Gate Kit is designed to deliver high security and dependable access control, whether for pedestrian use or for small vehicle entry. Engineered to align seamlessly with 3.0m high mesh fencing systems, this gate is an ideal choice for securing commercial, industrial, or institutional perimeters.
Built from high-grade steel and filled with 358 mesh, this gate offers a formidable barrier to deter unauthorised entry whilst also providing a great level of visibility for additional security systems like CCTV.
Key Features and Advantages
Durable Steel Construction and Powder Coated Finish
Crafted using robust steel with precision-cut mitred corners, a smooth professional finish, combined with a high level of strength and stability. Each gate is finished with a hard-wearing Polyester Powder Coating (PPC), available in a selection of colours to match or contrast with your existing fencing. The coating also provides effective resistance against corrosion and weathering.
Add a Gate Restrainer for Increased Safety
The Apollo® single-leaf gates have pre-drilled holes, allowing for a gate restraining tether to be added. These safety tethers allow these gates to meet BS 12604 standards. The restrainer itself comprises a high-strength steel cable, which, when installed, helps prevent the gate leaf from falling beyond 300mm of its vertical axis in the unlikely event of a hinge failure. By preventing the gate leaf from falling, it helps to greatly reduce the risk of an accident or injury occurring.
Modular Design for Flexible Installation
The 3.0m x 2.0m gate is supplied as universally handed, allowing it to be installed to open to the left or right, depending on site requirements. A lockable sliding latch is included as standard, and the modular design makes it easy to upgrade to a Gatemaster locking system without removing the gate from its position.
358 Mesh Infill
Known as “prison mesh”, the 358 wire configuration features narrow apertures that help to deter intruders from climbing over, as well as being difficult to break into, making it a secure mesh fencing solution. The narrow openings still offer a high level of visibility for site surveillance systems whilst also preventing objects from being passed between the wires.
Post Options for Any Ground Type
To allow these gates to be installed in a wide range of locations for a multitude of purposes, the Apollo gate range is available with either dig-in or bolt-down posts.
- Bolt Down Posts: Ideal for installation on concrete or other solid surfaces (requires 4 x M16 x 125mm anchor bolts per post).
- Dig In Posts: Suitable for softer ground, to be concreted into place with post mix.
Drop Bolt for Extra Security
Each gate includes a heavy-duty locking drop bolt. It can be used to secure the gate in an open or closed position, offering added control and reinforcement when needed.
Optimised for Pedestrian or Small Vehicle Access
With a clear width of 2.0 metres, this gate comfortably accommodates foot traffic, mobility scooters, push bikes, and small service vehicles. It’s ideal for environments such as schools, warehouses, storage facilities, or anywhere requiring controlled yet accessible entry.
