The Apollo® 1.8m x 3.0m 358 Mesh Single Leaf Gate Kit is a strong, reliable and safe access point solution that is ideal for use in a range of locations. With a large 3.0m width and 1.8m height, it’s ideal for locations that require controlled access for large groups of pedestrians or for vehicle passage, such as maintenance vehicles, deliveries, or emergency access.

This gate is designed to integrate seamlessly with our 358 Mesh fencing systems, providing the highest level of security for a continuous perimeter. It is also compatible with other systems like our 868 and 656 Mesh fencing, allowing for flexible site planning. Perfect for use on school grounds, business estates, parks, or warehouses, this gate provides a strong and reliable point of entry while remaining compatible with modern mesh fencing systems.

Key Features and Benefits

At the core of this gate is a high-security 358 mesh panel, often referred to as 'prison mesh'. It is renowned for its anti-climb and anti-cut properties. The mesh is formed from 4mm thick steel wires welded into a tight rectangular pattern, creating small apertures of just 76.2mm×12.7mm. This dense configuration makes it incredibly difficult for intruders to gain a finger or toe hold for climbing, and the small gaps prevent most standard cutting tools from getting a grip on the wires. Despite its high security, the mesh provides excellent visibility, making it an ideal choice for sites with CCTV surveillance.

Made from pre-galvanised steel, each gate is finished in a tough, professionally applied polyester powder coating, offering long-term protection from corrosion, moisture, and environmental damage. Choose from a range of colours to either match existing fencing or create a standout access point.

All corners are mitred for a sleek appearance and to eliminate sharp edges, helping reduce injury risks, especially important in public or high-traffic spaces.

Included with this 3.0m gate kit is a locking drop bolt, a crucial component for wide single-leaf gates. It offers dual functionality by holding the gate firmly closed for added stability and security, as well as keeping it safely in the open position. This is ideal for high-traffic periods, deliveries, or when extended access is needed. This feature adds an extra layer of control over gate movement and helps maintain site safety in variable operating conditions.

The Apollo® Gate range is designed with installation ease in mind. Its modular system allows for flexible installation, featuring universal handing so the gate can be installed to open left or right without needing to specify in advance. The posts and gate leaf come with pre-drilled holes for the quick fitting of hinges, locks, and optional accessories, while included plastic plugs and inserts maintain a clean, sealed finish over any unused mounting points. Furthermore, the included slider mechanism is fully upgradeable to a Gatemaster mechanical or digital lock system with no need to remove the gate leaf.

For added peace of mind, this gate is compatible with an optional Gate Restrainer, allowing compliance with BS 12604. The tether limits the movement of the gate leaf to within 300mm in the rare event of hinge failure, helping to prevent accidents and improve safety on site. Pre-drilled fixing points make the tether quick and easy to install.

Suitable for Installation on a Range of Ground Types

Choose the right post type based on your site’s ground conditions:

Bolt-Down Posts: Best for solid surfaces such as concrete. Each post requires 4 x M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolts (sold separately).

Dig-In Posts: Ideal for softer surfaces like soil or turf. Installation requires Post Mix (refer to the recommended quantities when ordering).
