Acrow Props are a vertical support system employed to shore overhead loads during construction work and are useful when creating a hole in a wall for a window or doorway, removing a wall and for temporary support for repair work. They can be used to support RSJs and lintels when new openings are made in load-bearing walls to ensure that structures do not collapse onto the people working underneath them.

Acrow Props are also known as Adjustable Steel Props, Jack Posts, Acrow Jacks, Shore Props and Post Shores.

This is a standard piece of gear used extensively in the construction industry due to its versatility and as it can be reused over and over again it is a very cost-effective investment.

Features and Benefits

These supports are manufactured from steel tubes and have a telescopic action so can extend in length. The Size 4 has an extended length of 4870mm. Other sizes are also available as is a Propmate which works alongside the Acrow Prop.

The Acrow Prop consists of a threaded inner tube with a square top plate, a threaded outer tube with square base plate, and a collar, handle and pin. The thread allows quick length adjustment and the pin stops the tubes collapsing inside each other when supporting a load. The threaded collar has a winding handle to secure into final position.
