When you need to effectively manage livestock and keep secure any valuable machinery and vehicles then good quality metal farm gates are a must. This zinc covering gives the gate a protective layer and makes it durable and strong and ensures a long and productive lifespan. The traditional design, characterised by by its well-constructed rails and box bracing, gives a structural integrity that is capable of sustaining the forces that may be exerted on it by large farm animals or impacts from heavy farm vehicles.

The metal agricultural gate leaf is 1145mm high width a width of 8 feet [2440mm]. The top and bottom bars measure 45mm x 1.5m, and the five infill bars, or intermediate bars, measure 32mm x 1.2mm. Each gate comes with a spring-loaded Bolt Kit (including spring, cotter pin, washer and bolt) and two M20 x 150mm adjustable eye bolts with two hex nuts. Each gate leaf has two boss holes close together at the top, this is for adjustment or if you have different hook spaces when hanging your leaf.

The sturdy, steel farm gate leaf is made for easy installation whether this is on an existing post or wall or on brand new gate posts. Generally, this type of gate is erected onto soft ground (soil, grass etc) and so will need some Post Mix to ensure a very secure installation. This metal farm gate will give many years of service, however it is a good idea to clean and inspect it from time to time to check for rust, damage and debris build-up as these could contribute to it failing before it should.
