The Apollo® 2.0m High x 8.0m Wide 358 Prison Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit is designed to deliver strong, secure access control for large openings without sacrificing visibility, resilience, or design. Ideal for use in both commercial and public sector applications, this gate is well-suited to transport depots, industrial complexes, educational premises, sports venues, and infrastructure projects where frequent vehicle movement is required.
Spacious 8.0m Access with Two-Leaf Flexibility
With a total width of 8.0 metres and a secure 2.0m height, this double gate accommodates everything from maintenance vehicles and delivery lorries to large groups of pedestrians. The leaf setup allows each side to operate independently or in unison, providing excellent versatility for managing various access needs throughout the day.
358 Wire Mesh for Enhanced Strength and Visibility
Built with the widely trusted 358 mesh configuration, featuring steel wires, this gate offers outstanding rigidity and vandal resistance. The open mesh layout maintains excellent visibility through the gate, supporting passive surveillance and improving site safety, while also deterring climbing attempts due to its closely spaced wires.
Durable Frame with Flexible Installation
Each gate leaf is fabricated with mitred corners, reinforcing the frame for superior strength and giving a professional finish. The leaves are designed for universal installation and can be hung as either left- or right-hand opening, depending on your site layout. This flexibility is ideal for both new builds and retrofit installations with existing fencing systems.
Built-In Safety with Triple Hinge Design
For added peace of mind, the Apollo® 8.0m gate includes a triple hinge system, built to comply with BS EN 12604 and in line with DHF recommendations. This ensures the gate remains safe and secure even in the rare event of a hinge failure, helping prevent leaf drop and reducing risk in high-traffic environments.
Please note that post mix and anchor bolts are not included and should be purchased separately, depending on your installation type.
High-Quality Finish & Corrosion Protection
All steel components are pre-galvanised to BS EN 10346 and coated with a durable polyester powder finish per BS 13438. This dual-layer protection ensures long-term resistance against corrosion, weather, and daily wear.
