Please be aware that we do not advise bolting down your Acoustic Fencing. For the best results, we recommend digging in Acoustic Fencing to help ensure site safety and wind loading.
Our 3.5m high EchoAbsorb Absorbent Acoustic Fencing Kit embodies this principle, offering a proven solution for noise control. It is available as a flexible loose-component kit for on-site construction or as convenient pre-assembled panels. Its versatility makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, and educational settings.
Our EchoAbsorb timber acoustic panels excel at absorbing and muffling unwanted noise. They are perfect for containing sound within a designated area. The two-part panels feature one side with sound-reflective vertical sawn boards and cover strips, and the other side with a protective membrane and rockwool for sound absorption.
The acoustic fencing can be installed with either steel or timber posts, both available from First Fence. The steel posts come with wooden wedges for installation in a dig-in-only format.
The EchoAbsorb Acoustic Fencing Kit provides a straightforward solution for local authorities managing traffic noise, builders reducing construction noise, and homeowners seeking peace and quiet.
Acoustic Performance: The system has been independently tested by Salford University. It is certified to meet Highways England standard BS EN 1793 (Road Traffic Noise Reducing Devices) and complies with durability standards BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2.
Material Construction: Manufactured from FSC-certified timber that is pressure-treated to UC4 Tanalised specification. The timber is surface-incised to maximise preservative penetration, making it suitable for ground contact.
Service Life: The fencing is designed to be maintenance-free and has a manufacturer-specified 30-year desired service life, subject to correct installation and site conditions.
Finish and Function: The timber has a natural pale green finish which can be painted or stained with a breathable product. The solid panel construction also provides a high degree of visual privacy as an alternative to industrial-style fencing.
Kit Contents: Each loose kit contains all components required to assemble one 3.5m high x 3.0m wide fencing bay. This includes: EchoAbsorb Straight Boards, a Gravel Board, Capping and Counter Rails, Horizontal Rails, and Cover Strips.
Post Installation: The system requires a dig-in post installation. It is compatible with either timber posts or galvanised steel posts, which are available separately from First Fence. Steel posts are supplied with wooden wedges for installation.
Site Prerequisites: The intended fence line must be cleared of all vegetation. Panels should not be installed in locations where they may be subject to standing water. For wind loading suitability at a specific location, a structural engineer must be consulted.
Our EchoAbsorb Panels are available in heights from 1.8m to 10.0m and also in a 2.4m width format.
