A fantastic looking, strong and reliable gate system which will provide a strong and secure point of access to your garden fencing or railing perimeter. These 2.4m high single leaf standard bow top railing gates are available in widths starting from 2.0m through to 5.0m. This variety of widths, combined with their excellent hard-wearing construction and eye-catching style, make them ideal as garden gates, or for perimeters in more public spaces such as parks or play areas.
Each 2.4m high single leaf metal bow top gate has been made to meet our exceptionally high requirements by our expert team of fabricators, ensuring that they will remain strong and reliable. To provide a superior level of strength, high quality steel has been used and to protect it from rust and corrosion, which can cause the steel to weaken, it has been given a zinc galvanised coating as standard.
So that the gate leaf does not blow open when the gate is not in use, which can cause damage to the hinges of the gate and nearby property as well as causing accidents and injuries to users or passers by, each 2.4m high metal bow top gate is supplied with a sliding latch gate leaf and a catch gate post. This sliding latch can also be locked into place, which can prevent access for unauthorised people, with the use of a heavy duty padlock (sold separately).
As well as the sliding latch gate leaf and catch post, each of these steel bow top gates are supplied with a drop bolt. The drop bolt can be used to hold the gate leaf open safely for extended periods of time, again preventing damage to the gate hinges, property or injury to users as they pass through.
To allow these metal bow top gates to be installed in a variety of different locations, they are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in post is designed to be used in locations where the ground is soft enough so holes can be dug easily, such as in soil. This type of post is longer than the bolt down version, which allows a section of the post to be placed in the hole and then secured in place with the use of post mix (sold separately)
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts are ideal for use in areas where the ground type prevents holes from being dug, for example if an area has been surfaced with concrete, it may become to costly or logistically impractical to dig holes. This type of post comes with a base plate which allows the ground anchor bolts (sold separately) to be used to bolt each post in place.
As standard, each of these 2.4m high bow top railing gates have been made from superb quality galvanised steel. The zinc coating of this provides a protective barrier against the damaging effects of rusting and corrosion whilst also giving the gates a fantastic looking silver finish.
However, if you should require a more colouful finish for your gate, it is possible to order them with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating. These colourful coatings leave the gate with a fantastic smooth finish. Available in a wide range of RAL colours, these coatings don’t just look great but also give the steel an additional layer of protection against rust and corrosion.
Adding a gate restrainer to your 2.4m high single leaf bow top railing gate can provide users with additional safety, helping to prevent accidents and injuries from occurring. These incredibly easy to install braided stainless steel cables attach to the gate leaf and the hinge post and, as the name suggests, they ‘restrain’ the gate leafs, preventing them from falling and causing injuries to users or people nearby at the time of hinge failure.
