A double leaf vehicle site gate often serves as a primary access point for deliveries, ensuring site security and safety during non-working hours.

Double leaf vehicle site gates offer several advantages over standard gates in that they provide wide openings, are very robust, allow the smooth passage of vehicles, can be equipped with various access control mechanisms, or can be customised with anti-climb measures or signage for enhanced security. The dual-leaf format consists of two panels that swing open and closed, providing a wide pathway for vehicles to enter or exit. They are particularly advantageous in locations needing effective management of vehicle traffic and deliveries, as well as the accommodation of large vehicles such as trucks or vans. Construction sites commonly utilise them for these needs.

Features and Benefits

The AdaptiGuard® Double Leaf Vehicle Gate Kit from First Fence, measuring 2.0 metres in height and 6.0 metres in width, is offered in a dig-in format, providing an ideal entry and exit solution for your site. Constructed from pre-galvanised steel and standardly powder coated in black or green, this gate is engineered for longevity and, when correctly installed, ensures many years of dependable service with minimal maintenance needed.

The AdaptiGuard® Double Leaf Gate features a lightweight construction of 40 x 40mm square hollow sections, reducing operator strain and ensuring durability even under heavy usage. The AdaptiGuard® gate boasts a modular design that accommodates various compatible locking mechanisms and keeps without any modification necessary. Installation is straightforward, utilising the pre-lasered holes on the posts and leaves. This is a dig in format gate and will require Post Mix for a robust installation; we recommend four bags per post. The holes must be at least 700mm deep x 300mm x 300mm.

The AdaptiGuard® gate has pre-drilled 15mm holes to take the First Fence 4mm safety tether, helping your gate comply with the BS 12604 standards, which keep the AdaptiGuard® gate safe in the unlikely event of a single point hinge failure.

This building site gate comes with a strong, padlockable slider that makes contact with both leaves, minimising prying or forced entry through the site gates. It also includes a flush-fitted drop bolt with an anti-lift plate to deter theft. The streamlined design facilitates simpler storage and transportation of your site gates.

Thesite gate is advised to maintain a ground clearance of 50mm to avoid creating a crawl space and ensure the gate can navigate uneven terrain commonly encountered on construction sites. Failure to maintain this clearance may affect the optimal functionality of your drop bolts.

The AdaptiGuard® construction gates come in green or black as standard however, they can be powder coated in your own corporate colours on request, ensuring your site gates make a lasting first impression (please note that custom requests have an additional charge and lead time; get in touch to discuss your requirements).
