A double-leaf vehicle site gate is commonly used for vehicle access and control at a variety of locations, including construction, building developments, commercial, industrial or institutional facilities; however, it could be used anywhere that needs double-leafed vehicle gates. The dual-leaf format consists of two leaf panels that swing open and closed, providing a wide passage for vehicles to enter or exit. They are particularly useful for areas that need to manage vehicle traffic and deliveries, and to accommodate large vehicles such as trucks or vans. They also have a security function, keeping a site safe outside of working hours.

Double leaf vehicle site gates offer several advantages over standard gates in that they provide wide openings, are very robust, allow the smooth passage of vehicles, can be equipped with various access control mechanisms or can be customised with anti-climb measures or signage for enhanced security.

The 2.0m High x 4.0m Wide AdaptiGuard® Double Leaf Vehicle Gate Kit from First Fence is available in a dig-in format and will create the perfect entry and exit point for your site. Manufactured from pre-galvanised steel and powder-coated in black or green as standard, this gate is built to last and, when installed properly, will give many years of faithful service with minimal maintenance required.

The AdaptiGuard® Double Leaf Gate has a lightweight 40 x 40mm square hollow section construction that minimises strain on operators, ensuring longevity even with heavy use. The AdaptiGuard® gate is a modular design that can take a range of compatible locking mechanisms and keeps, with no modification required, by simply installing onto the existing pre-lasered holes on the posts and leaves. This is a dig-in format gate and will require Post Mix for a robust installation; we recommend four bags per post. The holes must be at least 700mm deep x 300mm x 300mm.

The AdaptiGuard® gate has pre-drilled 15mm holes to take the First Fence 4mm safety tether, helping your gate comply with the BS 12604 standards, which keep the AdaptiGuard® gate safe in the unlikely event of a single-point hinge failure.

This construction site gate comes with a strong,  padlockable slider that makes contact with both leaves, minimising prying or forced entry through the site gates. It also comes with a flush-fitted drop bolt complete with an anti-lift plate to prevent theft of the drop bolt. The flush design allows for easier storage and transportation of your site gates.

The building site gate has a recommended ground clearance of 50mm to prevent a crawl space and allow the gate to clear any uneven terrain, typically found on construction sites. If the 50mm ground clearance is not adhered to, your drop bolts may not work to their full capacity.

The AdaptiGuard® gates come in green or black as standard; however, they can be powder-coated in your own corporate colours on request, ensuring your site gates make a lasting first impression (please note that custom requests have an additional charge and lead time; get in touch to discuss your requirements).
