You can install this 1.8m x 7.0m Double Leaf Palisade gate when access onto a site is required for any size vehicles, including lorries. This Palisade Gate contains two gate leaves which, when opened, provide a driving space that is 7.0m in width. Incorporating this type of Palisade Gate into a Palisade Fencing system will allow you to control who accesses your site, along with securing your site when it is not in operation. To secure the Palisade Gate there are two drop bolts which slot into the ground and a sliding latch bolt within the handle. To add extra security to the Palisade Gate you can use a Heavy-Duty Padlock to lock the sliding latch bolt in place.
This Palisade Gate is most appropriate for low security risk areas due to its 1.8m height. You must also make sure that you connect this Palisade Gate to Palisade Fencing structures that are of the same height, so that the whole system remains continuous and uniform. This Palisade Gate can be assembled on hard ground where it will need to be fixed to the ground using Bolt Down Posts. Alternatively, you can assemble this Palisade Gate on softer ground types where it will need to be fixed in place with Dig-In Posts and set into the ground with Postfix cement.
Manufactured from steel, this 1.8m x 7.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate is moulded into shape by a cold rolling process. This process makes the steel more lightweight, however it still manages to retain its high strength. This Palisade Gate is provided with a galvanised finish, which meets BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standards. Galvanisation is a zinc coating that helps to protect the steel from the formation of rust. You can also request your Palisade Gate to have a Polyester Powder Coating finish, which will make it more resistant to the effects of weathering, as well as wear and tear.
Another great benefit of this Palisade Gate is its ability to prevent intrusion due to the clever design of the pales. By possessing a ‘W’ shaped profile, the palisade pales make any attempts at scaling the security fence difficult as they are very hard to grip onto. In addition to this, the tops of the pales also help to restrict and deter potential intruders. All 1.8m high Palisade Gates will feature a galvanised finish and triple pointed pales when supplied, however, you can modify this by customising your gate when placing your order.
All steel Palisade Gates are sold as an assembly kit, containing all the necessary parts and fixings for construction. Your kit will include a gate frame, pales, posts, sliding latch bolt, drop bolts, hinges and fixing bolts. However, your kit will not include Postfix cement so this will have to be purchased additionally if required.
We understand that our customers will have different preferences and requirements for their Palisade Gate, which is why we offer a variety of customisation options within the order section of this page.
