Our Chain Link Fencing System with Concrete Posts offers an exceptionally durable and long-lasting perimeter solution suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial needs. Engineered for stability and minimal upkeep, this system combines the adaptability of galvanised chain link mesh with the uncompromising strength of precast concrete posts.
The foundation of this system is its precast concrete posts, which provide superior resistance to rust, rot, fire, and pests, making them ideal for the most demanding environments. This is paired with weather-resistant, galvanised chain link mesh that prevents corrosion and is available in various gauges and heights to meet your specific security requirements. The system is anchored by high-tension concrete strainer and corner posts, ensuring the fence remains taut and prevents sagging over time. The result is a low-maintenance, professional finish that provides security and visibility with a single installation, requiring no future painting or sealing.
First Fence has everything you need to build your chain link fencing system—from posts and chain link rolls to hog ring clips and hog ring guns!
To make planning easy, use our fencing calculator: simply enter your required meterage to determine how many rolls of chain link you'll need (each roll includes the line wire).
Next, choose your posts based on your site and fencing layout. You’ll need end posts to start and terminate your fencing run, intermediate posts are used along the run between your end posts, use corner posts for changing direction, and two-way strainer posts are used every 30m on straight runs (in place of one intermediate post). Posts are set at 3.0m intervals.
Add chain link hog ring clips to secure the fencing to tension wires or to support structures, hog ring clip pliers to fix your hog rings securely, rapid set post mix for a sturdy in-ground installation, and spray paint touch up cans to quickly repair and scuffs or marks efficiently. It is recommended that the hog ring clips are fixed at 300mm intervals. With the right components and layout, creating a secure, durable fence is simple.
