Flat Top railings are a very simple and clean design characterised by the flat top surface and are suitable for many different kinds of construction and architectural applications. Their simple lines allow them to blend seamlessly into most settings and add a touch of class to wherever they are installed. The clean design enhances visual appeal and strikes a balance between security and creating an inviting, open feel to a space.
Introducing the versatile EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing Kit from First Fence, an innovative system that sets itself apart from standard railings.
First Fence's EnviroRail® Flat Top Railings are a very versatile fencing system and are ideal for anywhere that needs boundary demarcation, to provide a clear separation between different areas, but only needs a low-security solution. They are suitable for use in public spaces such as recreational areas, parks and gardens and can be installed to guide pedestrian traffic, protect green spaces and enhance overall aesthetics. They are often used in schools and other educational settings to define perimeters around playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces, contributing to safety and organisation within the school environment. Additionally, they can be placed to guide foot traffic and ensure a designated path. In landscaping they are often utilised to protect flower beds and lawn, preventing trampling or damage.
The 1.2m High EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing Kit may appear to be a standard type product however it stands apart from these due to its environmentally aware manufacturing method which sees less reliance on energy-intensive welding. The system makes use of series of custom-made, laser-cut, pre-galvanised interlocking parts that form very robust joins when pressed together during assembly. For anyone concerned about environmental impact during gate production, this could be the perfect choice.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
This railing kit comes with a 2900mm wide panel, and is available in a choice of heights. It has been designed to work with the EnviroRail® Gate of the same height and style enabling you to create a perfectly uniform railing run.
Each kit includes a panel, post, support leg, twisted cleats and necessary fixings, with the option for either dig-in or bolt-down posts. Crafted from premium zinc-galvanised steel, these railing kits boast a durable finish, ensuring an extended functional lifespan. To add a personalised touch, choose from a variety of RAL colours for a high-quality Polyester Powder Coating, providing not only additional protection but also a sleek and attractive finish.
For the dig-in option, Post Mix is recommended, with two bags per post suggested. For the bolt-down selection, add M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolts per post to your purchase.
First Fence offers an extensive range of railings in both standard and EnviroRail® formats. Gates in both single and double leaf varieties are also available to purchase. Heavy Duty Padlocks and Locking Drop Bolts are ideal for adding to a gate for extra safety and security.
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
