1.2m High EnviroRail® Bow Top Play Sec Railing Kit - Multicoloured

The Play Sec railings have been designed to meet the strict safety regulations in order to comply with the RoSPA standards for playground safety, providing a safer greener alternative to standard metal fencing systems .

The EnviroRail® bow top railings are engineered for strength and stability while minimising resource-intensive welding. Each 1.2m bay uses custom-formed components that press together for a tight bond, creating a durable, high-quality railing system that's more eco-friendly than traditional alternatives.

These play sec railings are not only eco-friendly but also safety-focused. The bow top design eliminates sharp points, and gaps no wider than 89mm prevent trapped limbs. Additionally, they comply with BS EN 1176 regulations for playground equipment.

Each EnviroRail® kit features lightweight, pre-galvanised steel hollow tubes, offering high strength while simplifying handling, transport, and installation.

Each bay of 1.2m bow top railings includes:

• 1 x EnviroRail® 1.2m high Play Sec railing panel
• 1 x Railing post
• 4 x twist cleats
• 2 x M10 x 70mm bolts
• 2 x M10 shear nuts
• 1 x support leg
• 1 x ribbed post insert

So that these railing systems can be installed in as many different locations and on many different ground types, they are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.

Please note: post mix and ground anchor bolts are not included with these kits and will need to be purchased separately.

Polyester Powder Coated Finish

Each 1.2m EnviroRail® bow top bay is made from high-quality pre-galvanised steel and finished with a durable Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). This product line features a multi-coloured finish, perfect for creating vibrant and colourful play area perimeters. The coatings not only protect the steel from corrosion and rust but also enhance the playground's appeal, making it more inviting for children. The mix of colours stimulates creativity, while the bright contrasts improve visibility, helping children, parents, and supervisors avoid accidents. Additionally, the distinct colors assist those with visual impairments or color blindness in navigating the playground more easily.

How to step your panel

Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.

Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).

Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.

Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).

Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.

Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
