Flat top railings, also known as flat handrails or flat bar railings, are a commonly employed railing system in a range of settings. Distinguished by their horizontal top surface, these railings exude a modern and streamlined aesthetic, typically crafted from metal.
Presented by First Fence, EnviroRail® Flat Top Railings emerge as a versatile solution for low-security boundary demarcation. Their robust and adaptable characteristics make them well-suited for various applications in public spaces like recreation parks, pleasure gardens, and schools. These railings serve a range of purposes, from protecting flowers and shrubbery to establishing footpaths and outlining the boundaries around school playgrounds.
The 1.0m High EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing Kit may seem like a standard product, but it distinguishes itself through its environmentally conscious fabrication process, which reduces reliance on energy-intensive welding. The system employs a set of custom-made, laser-cut, pre-galvanised interlocking parts that form exceptionally strong joints when assembled. For those concerned about the environmental impact of gate production, this could be the ideal choice.
This railing kit includes a 2900mm wide panel and is available in various heights. It is designed to seamlessly integrate with the EnviroRail® Gate of the same height and style, allowing you to create a uniform and cohesive railing run.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
Each kit comprises a panel, post, and necessary fixings, providing the flexibility of choosing between dig-in or bolt-down posts. Crafted from premium zinc-galvanised steel, these railing kits showcase a durable finish, ensuring a prolonged functional lifespan. For a personalised touch, select from a range of RAL colors for a high-quality Polyester Powder Coating, offering not just additional protection but also an elegant and sleek finish.
For the dig-in option, Post Mix is recommended, with two bags per post suggested. For the bolt-down selection, add M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolts per post to your purchase.
First Fence offers an extensive range of railings in both standard and EnviroRail® formats. Gates in both single and double leaf varieties are also available to purchase. Heavy Duty Padlocks and Locking Drop Bolts are ideal for adding to a gate for extra safety and security.
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
