Stabilising a temporary fencing run is very important as its light weight means it can be affected by high winds and other adverse weather conditions and may blow down. This is clearly a site hazard and people and property nearby are at risk of injury or damage, also staff will be wasting valuable time continually re-erecting downed panels.
There are various ways of stabilising a temporary fence and all are aimed at increasing strength and usually can have extra ballast added to the system. The Zero-Trip Stabilising Base with Cranked Stabiliser and Hi Vis Foot are designed to work together. The Stabilising Base fits to the base of the fence panel, the cranked stabiliser is attached to the base and then to the fence panel. The stabilising base acts as a block tray and hi vis feet can be added for ballast. These systems are particularly useful on solid ground substance.
Generally, it is advised that you use a stabilising block system for every other fence panel, however if you experience extremely windy conditions then you may need one per panel.
First Fence carries a wide range of temporary fencing panels and accessories to improve stability and security for your site perimeter. Be sure to take a look to find the ideal security solution for your site.
