Build the strongest possible backing for your site fencing with our 72mm x 72mm Timber Hoarding Rails. Designed for sites exposed to high winds or requiring maximum structural rigidity, this upgraded rail profile creates a formidable "skeleton" for your hoarding system.
Measuring 3600mm in length, these rails are robust enough to minimise bowing and flexing, ensuring your perimeter stays perfectly aligned and secure throughout the project duration.
Superior 3" x 3" Profile: The 72mm x 72mm dimension offers ample timber volume. This provides enhanced resistance to bending under wind loads, making it the preferred choice for high-risk or long-term installations.
Large Fixing Surface: The 72mm face provides a substantial target area for nailing or screwing your Plywood or OSB sheets. This makes alignment easier and ensures a more secure bite for your fixings.
Pressure Treated Protection: To guarantee longevity, these rails are fully pressure treated (tanalised). This preservative penetrates deep into the wood, offering long-term protection against rot, fungal decay, and insect attack in outdoor environments.
Rough Sawn Finish: The textured surface provides excellent friction for joining elements, ensuring that once your rails are nailed to the posts, they stay put.
These rails are the structural core of your "Build Your Own" hoarding system:
The Frame: Installed horizontally between your fence posts (typically spaced at 2.4m centres).
Enhanced Stability: While standard systems use lighter rails, using this 72mm profile creates a heavy-duty grid. We recommend installing three rails per bay (top, middle, and bottom) to prevent sheet warping and ensure the fence can withstand heavy impact.
