Versatile Use: Suitable for fencing livestock, shielding crops, and outlining property lines.
Sustainably Sourced: Made from renewable timber and produced with lower energy input than metal options.
Cundy peeled corner strainer posts are round timber posts commonly used in agricultural fencing, specifically crafted to offer robust support at corners where the fencing direction shifts sharply or where tension varies significantly.
The corner strainer post kit consists of one 3.0m x 150/175mm strainer post and two 2.7m x 75/100mm struts. These posts are Cundy Peeled, which is a process that removes the bark. This process gives the posts a natural look with a non-uniform diameter (the dimensions 150/175mm, etc, refer to the fact that the diameter will vary down the length of the post). The posts are tanalised to ensure long-term use.
Struts are angled supports fixed between the strainer post and the ground to prevent the post from pulling or leaning. Traditionally, the strainer posts are driven into the ground and then backfilled. The struts are often concreted in with a product like post mix.
These wooden fence posts are versatile and well-suited for a range of uses, including livestock fencing, hiking trails, farm boundaries, and even non-agricultural applications such as garden, security, or landscaping projects. They can also be used to support young trees. Timber is a strong, durable material that performs well outdoors and is relatively easy to handle and install, making it especially practical for use in rural or hard-to-reach locations.
First Fence offers a large range of agricultural fencing products, including wire mesh fencing with badger, rabbit, equestrian and pheasant options, depending on the requirements of your project.
