Our Wide Inner Leaf Lintels are designed to be used with blockwork or stonework, which have wider profiles than standard brickwork. The inner lintels work with outer lintels to support structures around windows and doors, to avoid collapse and ensure safe use.

Choosing your Wide Inner Leaf Lintel

To offer the best range, we have three load-bearing types. Choose from:

• Standard load cavity
• Heavy-duty load cavity
• Extra heavy-duty load cavity

Standard Load Cavity Wall Lintel

Our Standard Load Cavity Wall Lintels are available in two cavity sizes:

• 110mm-125mm
• 150mm-165mm

Each one is then also available in a range of lengths from 750mm to 3600mm for the perfect fit.

These are designed for standard load-bearing for stonework and block work, which are wider than standard bricks.

Heavy-Duty Load Cavity Wall Lintel

Our Heavy-Duty Inner Leaf Lintels are designed to take heavier loads, with a thicker pre-galvanised steel to help take the load.

Our heavy-duty lintel is available in one cavity size: 110mm-125mm

There are a variety of lengths to choose from, ranging from 750mm to 2700mm

Extra Heavy-Duty Load Cavity Wall Lintel

For an extra heavy-duty load, we have a lintel for that. The thicker pre-galvanised steel lintel is available in a variety of sizes to perfectly fit your job. Choose from:

• 110mm-125mm cavity
• 150mm-165mm cavity

These are available in a range of lengths from 750mm to 4800mm to manage the desired load-bearing for the space.

Compliance and Regulations

Our lintels are made from pre-galvanised steel in keeping with thermal and building regulations. They are also tested and compliant with:

• England and Wales’ Part L of the building regulations
• Northern Ireland’s part F
• Scotland’s technical handbook, section 6

You can also rest assured knowing that we have tested to BS 5977 Part 2: 1983 and BS EN 845-2:2003 to ensure reliability and compliance.

Applications

Our Inner steel lintels work with our Outer lintels to support structures around windows and doors. The inner lintel supports the internal (inner) layer of cavity wall, while the outer lintel supports the external (outer) layer.

The cavity itself prevents moisture buildup and allows space for insulation to be installed.

We recommend installing all lintels correctly to achieve optimal load-bearing levels.
