SL/K Heavy Duty Load Single Leaf Lintel For Solid Walls- 225mm High

The SL/K single leaf lintel has been designed to support heavy duty loads for the construction of a single leaf or outer leaf cavity wall. This lintel has a leaf width of 95mm and a height of 225mm. This height will accommodate two to three bricks as seen in the diagram above.

The SL/K heavy duty load lintel has been constructed from high quality pre-galvanised mild steel which is between 2.5mm and 3.0mm thick.

This range of heavy duty load bearing lintels is available in 150mm increments starting at 1950mm up to 3000mm, which allows for heavy load bearing over a wide variety of opening sizes for applications such as doors or windows.
Please note: The SL/K lintels require a 150mm end bearing at each end of the lintel for correct installation. For example: if the opening size is 2100mm then the lintel will require an additional 300mm added to its length to accommodate the end bearings.

In order for this lintel to achieve the figures that are specified in the table below, the lintel will need to be built into the brickwork and installed correctly.

The figures also take into account the different loading types which are common in traditional cavity wall construction. These figures have been acquired through testing in accordance with the requirements of standards BS 5977 Part 2: 1983 and BS EN 845-2:2003
