The Side Installation Post is an essential component of an edge protection system, providing a secure mounting solution where fixing to the side of a structure is more suitable than installing directly into the floor.
Designed for Side Fixing Applications
Unlike standard installation posts, the Side Installation Post is designed to be fixed to the vertical face of a construction edge.
The post measures 1300mm in height and features a robust 40mm x 40mm box section manufactured from galvanised steel for outstanding strength and durability.
Its base plate is attached to a secondary support positioned at a 90-degree angle to the main post, allowing the unit to be securely fixed to the side of a structure. This makes it an ideal solution where floor-mounted posts are not practical or possible.
Easy-Lock Panel Connection
The Side Installation Post features an easy-lock system that enables edge protection panels to be installed quickly and securely.
The locking mechanism passes through the mesh panel before rotating into the locked position, creating a secure connection that prevents movement during use. Once locked, the panel remains firmly in place until intentionally released.
When used with compatible edge protection panels, the system creates a robust safety barrier that helps improve site safety and provides greater confidence for operatives working at height.
Durable and Easy to Install

The base plate includes 15mm x 20mm fixing slots to accommodate anchor bolts (sold separately), allowing the post to be securely fixed to the structure.

Each Side Installation Post is manufactured from galvanised steel and supplied with a Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) finish in RAL 5015 as standard.
The combination of galvanising and powder coating provides excellent resistance to corrosion, weathering, and everyday site wear, while giving the completed edge protection system a clean, professional finish.
