358 Security Mesh or Prison Mesh is seen on the perimeters of sensitive or high security locations such as prisons and military bases as it is one of the strongest and most highly secure fencing options available. It is difficult to scale by an opportunistic thief and to cut with standard tools.

It creates an intimidating, visual deterrent for a site, however installation and any maintenance work needed is often expensive, and quite hazardous for a worker. Working at height is among the top reasons for accidents in a workplace. A fall from even lower heights may result in significant, potentially life-changing injuries for the worker, and in the worst case scenario, death. By taking into account any dangers inherent in working at height and implementing the appropriate safeguards, you can prevent most accidents from occurring.

The QAB System was created to replace the unrated and occasionally home-made safety systems being used to secure ladders to mesh that were being used and to bring to an end the consequent unsafe working practices. The system is light weight and is easy to transport and does not require a ground survey.

Injuries arising from an unstable ladder include falls or the ladder slipping and dropping backwards. The Ladder Access Kit includes the 90° Ladder Support Bracket, a Support Leg and an 18-Rung Ladder; these have all been designed to work together and it cannot be guaranteed that other products will be compatible. The 90° Ladder Support Bracket fits through the 358 mesh panel and is secured, then the tube is attached to it using the pins provided in the kit. This forms a horizontal bar which the Support Leg attaches to with its foot on firm ground, and then the ladder attached to the horizontal bar.

The ladder has adjustable feet to account for uneven ground

This kit is designed for personal access and is rated to a safe working load of 120kg.
