Our security-rated mesh gate, featuring a double-leaf configuration, is meticulously crafted from steel which has been hot dip galvanised, meeting the ISO 1461 standards. They have then been coated with a durable polyester powder, providing robust protection against rust, corrosion, and daily wear and tear. It is available in a variety of RAL colours.
Double-leaf gates prove invaluable when optimising space utilisation or controlling access. Additionally, single-leaf gates are available in various width options, ensuring versatility to cater to your specific needs.
The gate proudly showcases the distinctive 868 Mesh, also known as Twin Mesh due to its double horizontal wires. This robust wire mesh boasts narrow apertures that obstruct the passage of objects while rendering scaling or cutting endeavours challenging. It finds particular suitability in scenarios where clear visibility is a paramount concern, especially when integrated with CCTV systems.
The gate kit incorporates six adjustable gate eyes, guaranteeing that even in the unlikely event of hinge failure, the gate remains secure, averting accidents, damage, or injuries. Each adjustable gate eye bolt is securely fastened with a snap-off nut, reducing the risk of post-installation removal. Two Drop Bolts enhance the security of your security-rated double gate.
Easy Installation
First Fence's SR1-rated mesh gate kit is available in both dig-in and bolt-down formats, accommodating a wide spectrum of ground conditions. It is imperative to assess the ground where you intend to install the gate before making your purchase. Soft soil or grassy areas necessitate the dig-in option, while concrete or solid ground requires bolt-down posts.
The bolt-down kit includes essential ground anchor bolts. Should you choose the dig-in kit, adding Post Mix to your order is advisable, with a recommended four bags per post for a sturdy installation. You should use either C20 or C25 post mix.
This gate serves both pedestrian access and small vehicles such as forklifts. The sliding latch bolt securely keeps the leaves closed, while the drop bolts ensure their steadfast positioning. You retain the flexibility to open one or both leaves in accordance with your specific requirements.
A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
