ProFence® has been rigorously tested and certified under the exacting SR1 (A1) LPS 1175 standards. This accreditation guarantees a one-minute delay against an attack using Toolkit A, including tools like glass cutters, pliers, spanners, and bolt cutters - common implements easily concealed by individuals seeking to breach private premises. This pivotal sixty-second delay can be invaluable to a security team, enabling early detection and prompt response to a breach.

The ProFence® range from First Fence encompasses fence kits in both 358 Prison Mesh and 868 Twin Mesh, offering a range of height options. Additionally, we provide single and double gates designed to seamlessly complement the ProFence® fencing system. The rigorous SR1 testing process has earned this product range a prestigious place in the Red Book.

Features and Benefits

Crafted from high quality steel which has been hot dip galvanised to ISO 1461 standards. Each gate is then coated with a professionally applied polyester powder finish, this gate kit boasts protection against rust, corrosion, and everyday wear and tear. When properly installed and maintained, it should deliver years of dependable service. The gate's mesh fill is the distinctive 358 Mesh, often referred to as Prison Mesh due to its frequent use in correctional facilities. Its tight wire spacing allows for excellent visibility while preventing the passage of objects, making it challenging to scale or cut. This mesh is ideal for scenarios requiring clear visibility, such as with CCTV systems.

The 1.8m x 4.0m Wide ProFence® 358 Mesh Single Gate Leaf Kit includes a sliding gate leaf, catch and hinge post, three adjustable gate eyes and Ribbed Inserts for the posts and gate frame.

The three adjustable gate eyes ensure that even if hinges were to fail, the gate itself remains secure, preventing injuries or damage. Each adjustable gate eye is secured with a shear nut, rendering removal impossible after installation.

The gate securely closes using the sliding latch bolt. The kit also incorporates a drop bolt used to securely hold the gate in the open position. The Drop Bolt is equipped with an M5x20mm one-way pan head bolt and M5 shear nut to prevent its removal.

ProFence® is certified for gradients from 0 to 25 degrees.

Easy Installation

This gate kit is installed the same way as with standard mesh. Once you have assessed your installation site, you can choose from a dig in or bolt down format. The dig in kit will need Post Mix to secure firmly into place, this can be added to your order and comes singly or in value bulk units. We recommend three bags for a 1.8m high post and it should be either C20 or C25 grade. The bolt down kit will come with the ground anchors that you need to fix the post firmly to hard ground.

A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
