The ProFence® security mesh product range represents the apex of First Fence's security-rated offerings. These products have undergone rigorous testing and certification to meet the exacting standards of LPS 1175 SR1 (A1).

This certification attests to the products' ability to withstand intrusion attempts involving Toolkit A, which includes compact tools like glass cutters, pliers, spanners, non-metallic rope, and bolt cutters - tools frequently used by individuals targeting high-value properties. This crucial one-minute resistance delay provides invaluable time for on-site security teams to detect and respond to potential breaches, potentially deterring criminals from stealing valuable items or causing damage.

First Fence's ProFence® range offers fence kits in both 358 Prison Mesh and 868 Twin Mesh, providing various height options. Additionally, our expertly crafted double and single gates seamlessly complement the ProFence® fencing system. This product range rightfully earned its place in the Red Book, a testament to the stringent SR1 testing.

Features and Benefits

First Fence's security-rated 358 mesh gate, available in a double-leaf configuration, is constructed from hot-dipped galvanised steel and then fortified with a durable polyester powder coating. This coating not only protects against rust, corrosion, vandalism, and everyday wear and tear but also offers a selection of RAL colours for customisation, aligning with your corporate branding and giving your security fencing system and gate a sleek and professional appearance.

The gate incorporates the distinctive 358 Mesh, also known as Prison Mesh, due to its use in high-security facilities. This exceptionally robust wire mesh features a narrow pattern that obstructs object passage, making scaling or cutting attempts exceedingly challenging for intruders. However, it still allows for efficient perimeter monitoring, making it particularly suitable for scenarios where clear visibility is essential, especially when integrated with CCTV systems.

The gate kit includes six adjustable gate eyes, ensuring that even in the unlikely event of a single hinge failure, the gate remains secure, preventing accidents, damage, or injuries. Each adjustable gate eye bolt is firmly secured with a snap-off shear nut, reducing the risk of post-installation tampering. Two Drop Bolts further enhance the security of your security-rated double gate.

Easy Installation

The installation of this accredited security gate is relatively straightforward and follows the standard procedure for a mesh gate. You can choose to embed it in the ground or secure it with ground anchor bolts.

First Fence's SR1-rated mesh gate kit is available in both dig-in and bolt-down formats, accommodating a broad range of ground conditions. It is essential to evaluate the ground conditions at your intended installation site before making your purchase, as this will determine the appropriate kit variant. Soft soil or turfed areas will require the dig-in option, while concrete or solid ground demands bolt-down posts.

The bolt-down kit includes essential ground anchor bolts. If you opt for the dig-in kit, you should strongly consider adding Post Mix to your order, with a recommended four bags per post for a sturdy installation. Post Mix is also available in larger bulk quantities if needed. You should use either C20 or C25 post mix.

This gate measures 4.0m in width and is more suited to personnel or small vehicle access, with larger widths available if you need a wider access gate. The sliding latch bolt securely keeps the leaves closed, while the drop bolts ensure their steadfast positioning. You retain the flexibility to open one or both leaves according to your specific site requirements.

A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
