Designed with dual leaves, this gate offers unparalleled flexibility in site access control. Crafted from premium steel, which has been hot-dipped to ISO 1461 standards. The gate receives additional protection through a polyester powder coating, available in various RAL colours. This coating provides superior resistance against wear, damage, rust, and corrosion. It can be colour-matched to your existing scheme or your company's branding for a seamless appearance.
The kit comprises two gate leaves, two hinge gate posts, two drop bolts, six adjustable gate eyes, and ribbed inserts for the gate frame and posts. The gate leaves feature a robust 358 mesh infill, a renowned and durable security mesh type often referred to as Prison Mesh due to its frequent use in such applications.
This mesh variety is exceptionally robust and resistant to cutting, making it ideal for situations where clear perimeter visibility is paramount or for seamless integration with CCTV systems. Its closely spaced mesh pattern also acts as a deterrent and hinders climbing.
The gate kit incorporates six adjustable gate eyes; even in the unlikely event of a hinge failure, the gate remains secure, preventing accidents, damage, or injuries. Each adjustable gate eye bolt is firmly fastened with a snap-off shear nut, minimising the chances of post-installation tampering.

First Fence's SR1 rated mesh gate kit is available in both dig-in and bolt-down formats, accommodating various ground conditions. Assessing the ground at your installation site is crucial. Generally speaking soft ground like grass or soil necessitates the dig-in option, while concrete and other solid surfaces mandate bolt-down posts.
The bolt-down kit includes essential ground anchor bolts, while the dig-in kit requires the addition of Post Mix to your order, with a recommended three bags per post for optimal stability. You should use either C20 or C25 post mix.
This gate is suitable for pedestrian access and accommodates small vehicles like forklifts, with larger gate widths also available. The sliding latch bolt keeps the leaves securely closed, and the drop bolts ensure their steadfast positioning. You have the flexibility to open one or both leaves as per your requirements.
A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
ProFence® Fencing is certified for gradients from 0 to 25 degrees.
