Understanding A1 (SR1) Rated Security Fencing
ProFence® security rated fencing is an economical and robust mesh system that holds certification under LPS 1175 A1 (SR1) standards, guaranteeing a one-minute delay against opportunistic attacks employing Category A tools, including pliers, cable cutters, screwdrivers and pipe wrench.
SR1 (A1) ratings and LPS 1175 compliance represent the stringent requirements for resisting determined attempts at forced entry into premises safeguarding high-value assets. This invaluable one-minute delay provides on-site security teams with a crucial window to intercept intruders before they breach the security perimeter.
Our ProFence® range of security fences is available in two types: 868 Twin Mesh and 358 Prison Mesh. It comes in a variety of heights to meet your specific security needs, and we also offer matching gates and convenient post kits for a complete security solution.
Features and Benefits
The ProFence® SR1 (A1) security-rated system features heavy-duty welded panels with the recognisable 6mm vertical wire and 8mm horizontal wire format. The system includes an intermediate post with a 60x60mm box section, a ProFence® clamp bar, and all the essential M8x90mm nuts and bolts. Additionally, black ribbed inserts are provided for the open box section of the post.
This kits are made from pre-galvanised steel, compliant to BS EN 10346 standards, ensuring excellent resistance to corrosion and rust. They are then polyester powder-coated in a range of RAL colours including black or green, enhancing protection and providing a high-quality finish that seamlessly blends with its surroundings or matches your company branding. In either case, it offers a sleek and formidable visual and physical deterrent for your perimeter.
How to install
This SR1 rated security fence system from First Fence is available in both dig-in and bolt-down formats, depending on the ground conditions at your installation site. Softer ground typically calls for concrete installation, while harder ground allows for bolt-down options. First Fence offers Post Mix for soft ground installations, which can be added to your purchase, the bolt-down kit does include all the necessary ground anchor bolts. It is highly recommended that you use either C20 or C25 post mix.
The installation process closely resembles that of standard mesh fencing. ProFence® posts are either concreted into the ground or bolted down as usual. Notably, this SR1 (A1) welded mesh fencing features a clamp bar fixing for added security. M8x90mm Cup Head Galvanised Through Bolts pass through the U-clips, securing the clamp bar over the mesh panel and post and ultimately fastening into place on the back of the post using a shear nut. This system accommodates sloping ground with ease, offering versatility for different terrains. ProFence® is certified for gradients from 0 to 25 degrees.
Please Note: M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor are provided with all kits however the minimum requirement is M12 x 125mm Ground Anchor for bolt down posts.
