First Fence’s ProFence® SR1 (A1) rated LPS 1175 358 mesh system is an ideal solution for a wide-range of high-security perimeter and access control scenarios, including the integration of CCTV or the need for a prominent visual deterrent.
What is A1 (SR1) rated security fencing?
ProFence® is a cost-effective, robust, security mesh system that has obtained certification under LP 1175 A1 (SR1) standards, ensuring a one-minute delay against opportunistic attacks utilising Toolkit A tools which included pliers, glass cutters and engineer’s hooks.
SR1 (A1) ratings and LPS 1175 are the requirements for providing resistance to extreme means of attempted forced entry to premises with high value assets. This one minute delay may give on-site security teams the chance to intercept an intruder before they break the security perimeter.
Features and Benefits
The ProFence® security-rated system comprises heavy-duty, high-security welded panels with a rectangular mesh formation), an intermediate post with 60×60mm box section, a ProFence® clamp bar and all the necessary M8x90mm nuts and bolts. Black ribbed inserts are included for the open box section of the post.
Each kit has been made from high quality steel which has been pre-galvanised to BS EN 10346 standards giving it excellent resistance to corrosion and rust. They are then finished with a polyester powder coating in a range of RAL colours including green or black. Powder coating gives the product additional protection and a superb, high quality finish that will either blend in seamlessly with its surroundings or match your company branding. Either way it will add sleek-looking visual and physical deterrence to your boundary.
Our ProFence® range is available in 868 Twin Mesh and the 358 Prison Mesh, and it comes in various heights to suit your specific security needs. Moreover, we provide matching gates and convenient corner post kits for comprehensive security solutions.
How to install
This SR1 rated security fence system is available from First Fence in both a dig in and bolt down format. You will need to assess the ground substance on which you plan to install this welded security mesh kit; generally if the ground is softer you will concrete this into place, if it is harder then you will be able to bolt it down. Post Mix is available from First Fence for digging the posts into soft ground substances and can be added to your purchase; the bolts come with the bolt down kit. It is highly recommended that you use either C20 or C25 post mix.
Your ProFence® certified security fencing system is installed very much like standard mesh fencing. The ProFence®posts are either concreted into the ground or bolted down as usual. This SR1 (A1) welded mesh fencing has a clamp bar fixing that offers the enhanced security of this product. M8x90mm Cup Head Galvanised Through Bolts pass through the hole in the clamp bar, which has been placed over the mesh panel and post, and through to the other side of post, fixing into place on the back of the post with a shear nut. This combination of clamp bar on the front of the post and the shear nut on the back adds greater security.
This system can be stepped on sloping ground and is certified for gradients from 0 to 25 degrees.
Please Note: M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor are provided with all kits however the minimum requirement is M12 x 125mm Ground Anchor for bolt down posts.
