The First Fence Premium Gate Safety Kit contains a 4mm Gate Restrainer, a Locking Drop Bolt and a Screw Fixing Closing Gas Strut. For the Double Leaf option, there are 2 Gate Restrainers and Closing Gas Struts.
Gate Restrainers are simple but very effective item in terms of gate safety. It is made from stainless steel and has strong, crimped end ferrules. It is able to support up to 500kg in weight so will keep a gate panel secure should the hinge fail. You will need to make a repair to the gate, but the restrainer will keep the panel from causing harm.
The Locking Drop Bolt will secure a gate in place once lowered and the lifting plate put in place. It is left or right-handed and compatible with a variety of gates. In terms of maintenance, the sliding parts need lubricating occasionally to keep a smooth action.
The Gas Strut is an easy to install item that closes the gate in a safe, controlled and consistent speed, ensuring that it doesn't slam shut. This can be used with a gate with a maximum weight of 80kg and a maximum size of 2500mm high and 1200mm wide.
