Product Description

Plain Steel Road Plates

These road plates are made from carbon steel and are designed to efficiently protect anyone who may come into contact with the excavated area, preventing accidental falling.

They can be used for various different safety needs with a choice of different sizes in order to suit a variety of different working environments. Correct safety measures must be taken to ensure that the trench does not collapse or is left exposed. By using the steel plates on your site, they will enforce your safety precautions so you will be able to comfortably leave the site unattended whilst work is still ongoing. These heavy-duty covers are also suitable to allow road traffic to continue to use the road around the roadworks.

All of our steel road plates are supplied with lifting holes as standard. However, please bear in mind that these road plates are extremely heavy and may require specialist machinery to install. If you need any advice or assistance on how to install the steel road plates, please contact our sales team as we would be more than happy to help.

Uses

Steel road plates are designed to enable heavy traffic to cross a variety of different hazardous sites. Possible uses for the projects that the steel road plates are:

  • Excavation works
  • Utility Maintenance
  • Demolitions
  • Trenches on construction sites

Storage and Transportation

As mentioned before, the steel road plates are incredibly heavy and cannot be lifted by hand. You will need to have specialist machinery to transport to different locations.

However, they can be stacked and secured on top of each other to reduce the amount of space needed to safely store.
