First Fence is excited to present the PaliFence® Palisade Security Fencing Kit, a highly adaptable product crafted for a diverse range of higher-security perimeter control needs. This innovative system boasts an SR1 (A1) rating according to LPS 1175 standards, providing a superior level of security compared to conventional palisade fences.

Understanding SR1 (A1) Rated Security Fencing
PaliFence® security-rated fencing is an economical and robust palisade fencing system that holds certification under LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) standards, which guarantees a one-minute delay against opportunistic attacks using Toolkit A tools. The testing protocol uses a specific set of tools and techniques that are representative of those commonly used by criminals, including cable cutters, levers, pliers, spanners and knives. The aim is to evaluate how well the security products withstand attempted attacks using commonly used burglary tools. The product being tested must meet stringent criteria to achieve the security rating and should demonstrate resistance to attack, therefore providing a deterrent. This invaluable one-minute delay provides an on-site security team with a crucial window of time to intercept intruders before they breach a security perimeter.
Features & Benefits
Manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel to ISO 1461 standards, this system is built for strength and longevity. The galvanising of the product material gives it a good measure of protection against rust and corrosion, which is essential in a product that is in permanent outdoor installation and use, and acts as a security barrier. The system can be polyester powder coated in a wide range of RAL colours, which enhances protection and provides a high-quality, polished finish that will enable it to blend with its surroundings or an existing scheme. Powder coating to BS EN 13438 standards.
The PaliFence® SR1 (A1) security-rated system comes in kit form and features 19 palisade pales, 3 cross rails and a steel IPE post. A standard palisade bay has 17 pales; the increase by 2 means that the centres (135mm pale centre to pale centre) are reduced and that an attacker would need to remove more of them to create a big enough space to fit through, something that will deter this type of person if an increased amount of effort is needed.
This security rated palisade fencing features three cross rails, one at the top and bottom and one in the middle. This positioning helps to reduce bending during an attack; additionally, the bottom rail is placed low enough that, should someone break through it, the space underneath is still too small for a body to fit under.
The fixings for this security system are galvanised and patch-treated and have an anti-vibrate technology to prevent unauthorised nut or bolt removal during an attack.
The PaliFence® LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) Palisade Security Fencing Kit is available in a bolt-down or dig-in format, so it is compatible with most ground types. However, always carry out an assessment prior to making your purchase or contact our sales team for advice. The bolt down format comes with the necessary SR1-tested ground anchor bolts, the dig in format will require a minimum concrete foundation of 700 x 300 x 300mm with C20/25 grade concrete. Post Mix can be added to your purchase.
When correctly installed, this fencing has a 50mm ground clearance. This system accommodates sloping ground with ease, offering versatility for different terrains. PaliFence® is certified for gradients from 0 to 30°.
