Oxford LowPro 15/10 Trench Cover Ramp (Corner)
The LowPro 15/10 Trench Cover is a complete solution in four parts: LowPro, metal stillage, accessibility ramps & infill strips. The Trench Cover is robust and durable, and has a slip-resistant texture that is effective in dry and wet weather, so pedestrian access is safe. Infill strips connect multiple covers together and will create a strong platform over an excavation. The Infill strips prevent the covers from moving apart, exposing the hole underneath.
To enable pushchair and wheelchair access over the Trench Covers then simply add ramps. The LowPro Ramps are available in a Short Side, Long Side and Corner style, and they can be used together to form a slope around the complete perimeter, or just be attached to the sides of the covers. The ramps will form a gentle 1:12 slope.
The Oxford LowPro Trench Cover Ramp sections are made from Thermoplastic Elastomer. The Corner section measures 577mm x 577mm and is designed to work with the long and short side ramps. It is supplied with the necessary Connector Plate and Bolts.
It is quite straightforward to install these ramps; ensure first that you have carried out a site risk assessment to ensure the suitability of the product. Do not place the ramps over the trench itself. When the LowPro Trench Covers are attached with Infill Strips, place the ramps onto the studs on the covers and fix with the bolts. For ramps on all sides of the Trench Cover, use the 4-way connector at the corners. In this case, the Long Ramp corner will need to be cut with a knife to fit up against the Short Ramp (a mark is on the ramp to show where to cut, see Installation Guide in the Downloads section for full details).
