MUGAs, short for Multi Use Games Areas, are designated spaces for sports, featuring surfaces that accommodate a wide variety of athletic and recreational pursuits within a single location. They are also referred to as sports courts, ball cages and multi sport courts.

Communities can maximise limited space by leveraging the versatility of MUGAs, allowing people of all ages and skill levels to engage in physical activities and sports. These multi sport areas prove particularly advantageous in urban settings, schools, or sports facilities with restricted outdoor space. By eliminating the need for separate constructions for each sport, MUGAs offer a cost-effective solution. Moreover, they often feature specific markings and equipment for different sports, facilitating seamless transitions between activities for users.

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our new range of MUGAs, now available in convenient kit form. Take your pick from the MUGAPlay® Secure 35 with or without a gate, the MUGAPlay® Secure 38 with or without a gate, or the compact MUGAPlay® Mini.  Please note, this kit is the fencing only and does not come with the ground surface.

The MUGAPlay® Secure 35 without Gate will create a play area measuring 35m x 17m, which is ideal for football, hockey, tennis and netball. This MUGA kit comes with two fencing gaps to allow access and entry. This is ideal for community areas where the MUGA does not need to be locked during certain hours.

The MUGAPlay® Secure 35 is manufactured using 868 Rebound Fencing panels, made from galvanised steel, possessing natural durability and bounce characteristics. The Rebound Mesh features additional wires arranged in a tight, dense pattern, effectively absorbing the impact of a forcefully struck ball. This design enhances its high rebound property, swiftly returning the ball into play.

This MUGA kit is in dig-in format and will require Post Mix to secure the posts into the ground for a sound and long-lasting installation. This can be added to your order. The kit comes in a green polyester powder coating as standard; however, you can also choose from a range of RAL colours should you wish to match an existing system or create a fun, vibrant look.

The mesh panels are securely fastened to the posts using a clamp bar system, providing a robust and tamper-resistant finish.

Maintaining MUGAs is relatively hassle-free, but to guarantee their durability, it's essential to conduct regular cleaning, inspections, and occasional repairs. Add a can of touch up spray paint to deal with any scuffs or scrapes to preserve the integrity of your MUGA.
