This lock offers two levels of security in one compact system. During normal use, the handles operate the latch, allowing for quick and easy access. However, when additional security is required, the key-operated deadlock can be engaged. This deadlocks the latchbolt, preventing the gate from being opened, even if the handles are used. This makes it ideal for properties requiring controlled access or areas that need to be secure overnight or when unattended.
The stainless steel latchbolt is designed for strength and longevity. It latches 15mm into the gate post during normal operation and extends to 30mm when deadlocked, offering increased security and more tolerance for gate movement.
