Product Description

KerbGuard 400mm Wide - Black

Kerb damage is a problem for housebuilding projects and the housebuilder may allow for replacing from 50-100% of the kerbs on site before the plan is completed. Kerbs and pavements are generally put in place quite early in the building works which makes them vulnerable to damage from site vehicles.

Clearing and reinstating damaged kerbs can be costly and time-consuming. This is where the KerbGuard system of environmentally friendly kerb protectors comes into its own.

KerbGuards are a reusable kerb protector product fabricated from a heavy-duty, 100% recycled (and recyclable) PVC. When put in place over the installed kerbs they will efficiently absorb impact forces from strikes from heavy vehicles and protect them from being cracked and broken. These are very cost-effective as they can be reused over and over on future projects. They are time-saving too as you will only need to install the kerb once.

They are simply fixed in position by haunching in with temporary tarmac.

This KerbGuard is 400mm wide, 160mm high and 200mm deep and features an anti-slip tread pattern on the top side. Available in hi-vis yellow or black, and also in two lengths; 900mm for straight runs and 400mm for going around curves and bends. The KerbGuard has a sturdy 35mm thick impact-absorbing top section. Spacers can be used to assist installation where the pavement is top-coated.

Installation Method

  • Where the pavement has not been top-coated, the KerbGuards hook onto the kerb and can be haunched in with temporary tarmac.
  • Where the pavement has been top-coated, spacers should be inserted before haunching with temporary tarmac.

First Fence has a wide range of Trench Covers and Road Plates so we are sure to have what you need for your project.
