Here at First Fence, we have a variety of road plates and cones available for hire.
Ground Guards
Made from 100% recycled PVC, the FastCover is designed to be installed quickly to save you time as well as be a convenient safety measure. As the FastCover is one of our lightest road covers, weighing in at 20kg at its lightest, it can be easily and quickly installed by two people. These can be used to create temporary car parks, warehouse flooring and pedestrian walkways.
The durable ground guard is installed using a smart interlocking system, which enables a smooth joint, reducing potential trip hazards.
Walk Boards
Designed and manufactured in the UK, our Safe Cover Walk Board is designed primarily for use in street works, in compliance with the UK’s DETR ‘Safety at Street works and Road works Code of Practice’, making it safe and practical for all site work. Moulded from a single piece of glass fibre reinforced composite with ribbed framework on the underside, meaning it has a low density without compromising on strength. This high strength makes our Safe Cover Walk Board stronger than a wooden plate, and its low density makes it lighter than a steel cover.
Road Plates
These road plates are made from carbon steel and are designed to efficiently protect anyone who may come into contact with the excavated area, preventing accidental falls. They can be used for various safety needs with a choice of different sizes to suit a variety of working environments. Correct safety measures must be taken to ensure that the trench does not collapse or is left exposed. By using the steel plates on your site, they will enforce your safety precautions, so you will be able to comfortably leave the site unattended whilst work is still ongoing. These heavy-duty covers are also suitable to allow road traffic to continue to use the road around the roadworks.
Traffic Cones
Traffic Cones are designed for road works where vehicle and pedestrian management is needed, but are also suitable for outdoor events and site works. Our road cones stand at a high height of 750mm and have a strong base at 410mm x 410mm. All cones are made from 100% recycled PVC and are supplied with a reflective 'Sealbrite TM' class R1B sleeve which meets EN13422 standards. Headlights on vehicles can reflect against the reflective strip, which increases the visibility of the road cones and makes pedestrians and drivers aware that a cone is there to protect an area.
