The GB2 Water filled barriers are a heavy-duty barrier system which is suitable for use around road works and construction sites. Constructed from high quality UV MDPE they are incredibly robust and when filled with water or ballast, weigh approximately 350kg, offering an incredibly high level of protection for both drivers and passengers as well as pedestrians in the event of a vehicle-based accident.
The GB2 Heavy Duty Water Filled Barriers have been designed to be a highly adaptable system which is incredibly tough, being able to withstand heavy impacts and wind speeds of up to 78 miles per hour. Each barrier has been constructed from UV treated MDPE, which is an incredibly strong plastic which has been treated so that they can be exposed to direct sunlight and not become discoloured.
Available in either red or white and with a length of 2000mm and a height of 900mm the GB2 barriers can provide a clear pathway for pedestrians or motorists which can clearly be seen even in adverse weather conditions.
Each barrier in its empty state weighs 32kg, allowing for easy transport and even have slots in the bottom to allow easy transport with the use of a forklift. When each of barrier is full it weighs a whopping 350kg. This weight makes it incredibly tough for the barriers to be tampered with, as well as having a locking pin system to allow a solid wall of barriers to be created.
The GB2 Heavy Duty Water Filled barriers can be used in a wide variety of locations for various applications such as:
Each of the GB2 Heavy Duty barriers is fully interlocking with the next in the line or perimeter, they simply slot together and are then held in place with the locking pins. The locking pin system does allow each barrier to achieve a 35-degree angle to accommodate curves and angles. This means that no specialised corner or angle barriers are needed when creating your walkways or perimeters.
Yes, it is possible to stack these barriers on top of each other for transport and storage only. When in use, either empty or filled with ballast or water, these barriers should not be stacked
Please note: You will be sent a mix of both white and red barriers depending on stock and availability
