These are heavy-duty load lintels designed for high density and high impact works. Meaning that they can support heavy materials within the frame structure. Made to suit cavity widths of 90-105mm, we supply these heavy-duty steel lintels in a selection of heights and lengths to fit your requirements.

The pre-galvanised steel lintels have been tested with accordance to the British standard, BS EN 845-2:2003. Resulting in a steel beam that is intended to provide a high level of structural support whilst being able to ensure that the cavity is insulated with an inner leaf of 100mm and an outer leaf of 102mm. The thickness of the lintels depends on the length you require, the overall thickness can vary from 2.9mm spanning up to 3.2mm.

This type of steel lintels is often used on heavier and larger openings. The Lintels have an RSJ style ‘I beam’ design so they can fit easily into the section you need supporting.

The blockwork itself needs to be built tightly against the inner side of the lintel in order to ensure you get the benefits of the lintel system. Common uses on lintels include, supports of doorways and fireplaces as well as ornamental or cosmetic features on buildings.
