Fastrack 609 Woven Geotextile Membrane
This Fastrack Woven Geotextile Membrane has both separation and filtration properties which makes it ideal for ground works. The Membrane can be used as a layer under new roads, areas of hard standing and under stone foundations for new buildings. Loads tend to stress over time which then causes granular stone layers to be forced into the softer soil, which inevitability would cause the structure to rut or even drop in some places; this Woven Membrane has been designed to prevent this. Being permeable, this Membrane is able to allow water to drain through it, but its filtration and separation properties ensure that fine particles of soil aren’t let through, therefore the intermixing of different soils is prevented.
Made by weaving individual pieces of polypropylene tape on a loom to create one piece of material, this Woven Geotextile Membrane surpasses the strength of Non-Woven Membrane. Due to this added strength, this Membrane is able to tolerate a higher weight capacity, it is therefore able to reinforce and stabilise heavy structures whilst keeping the layers separate and maintaining the integrity of the structure.
Supplied on a 4.5m x 100m roll, this Woven Membrane will cover 450m and is ideal for larger projects where a lot of space is required to be covered.
